This family-friendly animal attraction has clearly mastered the art of interactive experiences. Visitors consistently praise the hands-on feeding opportunities with unique animals like ostriches, lorikeets, tortoises, and rabbits. The facility maintains clean conditions with healthy-looking animals, plus plenty of handwashing stations throughout. Staff members earn high marks for being friendly and making guests feel genuinely welcome, even going out of their way for group visits. Families return here regularly, some claiming it as a "second home" after decades of visits. The setup works wonderfully across generations—young toddlers, teens, and grandparents all seem to have memorable experiences. The Monster Truck tour gets specific mentions for its informative and entertaining guide. While the atmosphere might be a bit hokey (in the best way, as one long-time visitor notes), that lighthearted vibe is part of the charm. It's worth a stop if you're traveling through the area and want something different from typical tourist attractions.

I’ve been visiting Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch since the early 2000s, and it’s always such a fun experience! It’s a little hokey — but in the best way possible. The animals are unique and not ones you’d normally get to see up close, and there’s great signage that makes feeding them easy and safe. I also appreciate how many handwashing stations they have throughout. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is lighthearted, and it’s just a fun stop every time. We always enjoy our visits and will probably keep coming back for years to come!
