Join a shared early-morning desert trail ride offered on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month. Wranglers lead the ride at a walking pace, then welcome you back for coffee, juice, a continental bite, and casual lawn games.
Explore desert plants, shrubs, and cacti from horseback, with time for photos when you return from the trail.

Itinerary
*The KOLI office is the first building and you park along the circle drive.
*Be prepared to Check-in at the office 15 minutes prior to ride time with all riders present.
*Riders complete Waivers of Liability, get fitted for riding helmets, use the restroom, then head down to the horses for loading when wrangler escorts you.
*Please do not run up to horses. Keep 20 feet distance until the wrangler calls for you to be loaded next.
*Once loaded, you will be provided riding instruction on guiding the horses. You must remain on the horse until the wrangler advises you can get off.
*If you experience an issue after loading, please get the wranglers attention so they can address your concern.
*Return for approximately 30 minutes of coffee, juice, a continental bite and lawn games.

Important details
- Check in 15 minutes before ride time with all riders present
- Ages 7+ only; rider weight limit is 250 lbs
- Requires mounting and dismounting the horse independently
- Pregnant riders cannot participate
- Complete a liability waiver before riding; for minors, a parent, court-appointed guardian, or DCS or child welfare temporary guardian must complete it and provide required documentation
- Wear long pants or knee-length shorts and closed-toe shoes; flip-flops, sandals, Crocs, high heels, and boots with heels over 1 inch are not permitted
- Do not carry bags, purses, or backpacks while riding; secure phones or cameras in a shirt pocket or with a wrist strap
- No smoking or alcohol before or during the ride; riders under the influence cannot participate
- Stay with the wrangler and follow instructions; trail rides remain at a walking pace only

Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled ride date for a full refund.

FAQs
Arrive and check in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled ride time. If you arrive late, you may be denied participation with no refund. If you can be moved to the next available ride, expect a rebooking fee and possibly a rate difference; you can only be rebooked one time.
Wear jeans or pants (no shorts above the knee) and closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops, Crocs, sandals, or high heels). Keep boot heels to 1 inch or less. Wear any jacket you bring (do not tie it around your waist).
Riders must be age 7 or older. A minor’s waiver must be completed by a parent or a legal court-appointed guardian (with required proof), or a DCS/Child Welfare Authority temporary guardian (with required proof). Relatives other than the parent and family friends cannot sign for a minor.
