Itinerary

Step 1: Sign your waivers. Step 2: Meet us at Phon D. Sutton Recreation Site https://maps.app.goo.gl/3Tk7wwSZ36jKjHHP6 Step 3: Check-in with our staff and hop on our shuttle. Step 4: Ride the shuttle up river to Water Users https://maps.app.goo.gl/nCHT9MpfJEwLxsgJ9 Step 5: Unload rented equipment from the shuttle and launch onto the river! Step 6: Paddle down river to Phon D. Sutton Recreation Site. Step 7: Return your rented equipment to our staff and enjoy the rest of your day!

Important details

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your selected shuttle time
Complete the electronic waiver before arrival; paper waivers are not available
Ages 8+ only to ride the shuttle
A Tonto National Forest parking pass is required to park and is not included in the listed price
Do not leave rented equipment unattended; an additional fee applies if equipment is left unattended or retrieved from another location
Return equipment by 7 PM Friday and Saturday; after 4 PM, return it to the shuttle driver at 5 PM, 6 PM, or 7 PM
Return equipment by 4 PM on Sunday
Leave tubes behind; the shuttle cannot transport them

Cancellation Policy

Cancel or reschedule 24+ hours before start for a full refund. Within 24 hours, rescheduling is available once for a $10 fee per ticket; no refunds. After start time and no-shows are not eligible for rescheduling or refunds.

We absolutely loved our stay at Saguaro Lake Ranch, Cabin 8. This is one of those places where the setting really is the experience. Waking up surrounded by the mountains, seeing the horses just steps away, spending the afternoon by the pool, kayaking on the lake at sunset, and then coming back to swim under the moon made the whole stay feel incredibly special. The scenery is spectacular. The mountains seem to change color throughout the day, and sunset along the river was absolutely gorgeous. We loved how peaceful and tucked away the ranch feels while still having plenty to do. Kayaking was a highlight, but honestly, some of our favorite moments were simply sitting outside and taking in the view. Cabin 8 had exactly the rustic ranch charm we were hoping for, and we would absolutely stay here again. The only things keeping it from being completely perfect are that the air conditioning could use an upgrade, especially during the Arizona heat, and the bathroom could use some updating. Neither would stop us from returning, but improving those two things would really elevate the cabins while still keeping their wonderful historic character. If you’re looking for polished resort luxury, this probably isn’t why you come here. You come for the horses, the water, the mountains, the quiet, the sunsets and the feeling that you’ve escaped somewhere completely different for a few days. Saguaro Lake Ranch is a little Arizona treasure, and Cabin 8 gave us a trip we’ll remember for a long time. We can’t wait to come back.
