Know before you go
- Arrive 15 minutes before departure
- Ages 14+ only
- Teens ages 14–17 must paddle with someone from their party, and one adult age 18+ must join trips with minors
- All participants age 14+ paddle during the tour
- Requires walking two flights of stairs, sitting on the floor for 2.5 hours, standing from the floor and lifting 20 lbs
- Kayaks may not fit comfortably for people taller than 6'5"; participants over 275 lbs cannot join
- Wear a provided wetsuit when required by air and water temperatures
- Complete the digital waiver at least 24 hours before departure
- Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, quick-drying layers, a windbreaker or rain jacket, and footwear that can get wet
- Dogs cannot join the tour
Cancellation Policy
Receive a full refund when you cancel more than 72 hours before departure. Cancellations within 72 hours of departure and no-shows are nonrefundable. Receive a full refund if the operator cancels due to high winds, waves, or storms with thunder or lightning.
FAQs
Participants over 250 lbs must complete a kayak fit test before the tour. Participants over 275 lbs cannot join due to safety concerns.
On the Sand Island full-day paddle, you may share a tandem kayak with someone from another odd-numbered party or with a guide, depending on the group.
Complete the digital waiver, including the lunch questionnaire, at least 24 hours before your trip so sandwich orders can be submitted.
