Important details

• Ages 21+ to rent or operate the boat. Combined weight limit: 1,100 lbs, including people, gear and coolers.
• Bring a valid driver's license and carry it aboard. Bring your boating license card or certificate if licensed; otherwise, a boating permit test is required.
• The temporary boating license test has 10 questions and requires a score of at least 90%. Each driver has two attempts. The temporary license lasts 24 hours, and unlicensed drivers must test again for each rental.
• Pets are allowed. Additional charges apply for any damage or mess they cause.
• Fuel is not included in the listed price and is charged at market prices. The boat leaves with a full tank; after your return, the operator refills it and charges your card against a fuel deposit, returning the unused balance.
• A damage waiver is required. It caps covered boat or motor repair liability at $1,000 and covers isolated propeller damage in full. It does not cover personal injury, damage to others' property, intoxication, negligence, ignoring engine warnings, rafting boats together, towing or failure to follow boating rules.
• Late-return charges apply and are not included in the listed price. Violating navigation boundaries can also result in fines, recovery charges and charges for lost bookings.
• Do not travel to Kelly's Island or Put-in-Bay. Stay away from the break wall, and follow navigational markers, Ohio boating laws and staff instructions.
• Do not dock or beach the boat during your rental. Use only the designated rental docks for pickup and drop-off. Smoking, waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and towing boats or people are prohibited.
• Children under 10 must wear a United States Coast Guard-approved life jacket. These are available on request at no additional charge.
• Sign the rental agreement before departure. Every additional driver must also sign the rental terms. The vessel operator is responsible for the boat, its passengers and safe weight distribution.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes before your rental starts for paperwork and the safety briefing. Late arrival can reduce your time on the water; the scheduled return time still applies.
