Step aboard a historic diesel-hauled train through Lenawee County for a holiday visit with Santa in a New York Central bay-window caboose. The caboose, dedicated to longtime society member Ernie Jeschke, recalls the era when conductors and brakemen used its bay window to oversee the train.

The train has small propane heaters but no central heating. Dress for the weather, and you may bring extra blankets to stay cozy.
There are no restrooms aboard the Santa Express. Portable restroom facilities are available at the station platforms.
