Sargon is the kind of tour guide people talk about at dinner afterward, and the reviews here make that pretty clear. With deep expertise spanning Savannah's botanical history, architecture, ironwork, and the stories of marginalized figures often left out of mainstream historical narratives, Sargon brings an infectious enthusiasm and quick wit that keeps tours feeling like a conversation rather than a lecture. Visitors consistently describe the experience as one of the best they've had in Savannah, even across multiple trips to the city. The botanical tour and the hidden history tour both draw strong praise, each offering a distinctly different lens on the city. Groups, couples, and solo travelers alike seem to find something meaningful here, and the two-hour walking format is described as well-paced without feeling exhausting. A guide named Keith also earns a warm mention for his friendliness and historical knowledge, suggesting the overall quality extends beyond just one person. If you're looking for a walking tour that goes beyond the standard highlights and actually makes you think, this one is worth booking.
We loved Sargon - she is an amazing tour guide! We booked the botanical guide through historic Savannah and found her to be not only pleasant, but extremely knowledgeable about all manor of plants and trees, as well as ironworks. She did not mind me interrupting her to ask questions or take pictures. Because she has guided other tours over the years, she also knew about famous people and homes so we heard lots of interesting stories too.
