Know before you go
- Ages 10+ only
- Arrive by 6:55 AM; doors open at 6:45 AM and close at 7 AM
- Expect an entirely outdoor program with walking in soft, loose sand
- Expect to sit in direct sun for 30–45 minutes if an excavation takes place
- Bring sunscreen, bug spray, comfortable walking shoes, and a hat
- Runs rain or shine; beach access is suspended during lightning
- Bring a raincoat or poncho if rain is forecast; umbrellas are not allowed

Free cancellation up to 21 days before the experience. No refunds within 21 days unless Loggerhead Marinelife Center cancels the program; refunds are issued within 7–10 business days.
FAQs
Live hatchlings are not guaranteed. Nests are monitored for natural activity, and data collection begins three days after the first signs so hatchlings have time to emerge undisturbed.
During Hatchling Discovery, permitted staff collect data such as hatched and unhatched egg counts. This helps scientists measure local sea turtle reproductive success and inform conservation management decisions.
