- Choose the 4.7-mile or 6.7-mile 8:00 AM route from Glacier Spit to Saddle Trailhead
- Cross the hand tram yourself on the optional out-and-back spur
- Hike Saddle Trail switchbacks on the 3-mile 12:15 PM route
- Look for moose, eagles, and bears along the trails

Know before you go
- Arrive 15 minutes before departure
- 8:00 AM departures require booking by 3:00 PM the prior day
- Bring hiking clothes, hiking shoes or boots, a rain jacket, extra layers, water, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, and bear spray or bells
- Use the restroom before departure; there is no formal restroom aboard the vessel
- Expect little to no cell service; a GPS and texting emergency device is recommended
- Trips require at least 3 passengers; departures with fewer passengers may be moved
