- Requires 200-yard unassisted swim ability for non-certified divers
- Requires certified divers to carry their own 25–70 lb equipment on an approximately 3-minute walk to the ocean
- Remain below 1,000 feet for 12 hours after one dive and 18 hours after deep or multiple dives
