Itinerary
- Guests will start out in old village, a community that dates back to the 1680's and learn about the history of the area.
- Guests will stop by the Peter Lewis House, the William C. Magwood House, and the Hibben House as part of the historical roots of the community.
- The tour will continue on the other side of Shem Creek by visiting a family operated shrimp company that started in 1945 and check out some of the local catch.
- We will pass by the boardwalk with the remainder of the shrimping fleet and learn how the nets operate and why US based shrimp are more sustainable than foreign shrimp.
- Guests will finish the tour learning how to throw a cast net which is how locals catch their own shrimp.
