Private 3-hour Lake Tahoe tube ride with an Emerald Bay cruise
3 hours
Up to 13 people
Private charter, Fuel, Water
Ride the tube behind your private boat, then cruise South Lake Tahoe for scenic views, including a sightseeing lap through Emerald Bay. Take a relaxed stop in a calm cove for photos and swimming.
For parties over 6 passengers, US Coast Guard regulations require a bareboat charter and the captain must be paid separately in addition to the charter fee; confirm the amount with Greetwell before booking. No tubing in Emerald Bay due to slow-speed rules. No pets, glass, red wine, or overly messy foods.
Full refund if you cancel more than 10 days before your booking. No refund within 10 days or for no-shows. Full refund if Boat Tahoe cancels. Weather cancellations are determined by Boat Tahoe only. Holiday bookings (4th of July Fireworks, Memorial Day Weekend, Week of 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend) are non-refundable one month prior.
Yes. If your group is over 6 passengers, US Coast Guard regulations require a bareboat charter, and you pay the captain and fuel separately in addition to your prepaid charter fee. You pay an additional $100 per hour on arrival directly to your captain, and you still pay it even if you book 7+ but arrive with fewer passengers.
Arrive at the marina at least 30 minutes before your charter (longer on weekends and holidays), and arrive at the boat 15 minutes prior. If you arrive late, your time on the lake will be shortened.
Use the restroom at the marina near the parking lot before you board. Boats do not have restrooms, but you can stop along the way if needed.
All charters start and end in the Tahoe Keys Marina located in South Lake Tahoe, CA.
Boat charters on Lake Tahoe don't get much better than this. The captains here, particularly Zach (who's also the owner), Brandon, Chad, Adam, and Duncan, consistently earn praise for being knowledgeable, laid-back, and genuinely fun to spend time with on the water. They clearly know the lake inside and out, sharing fascinating local history and taking guests to stunning spots while maintaining a relaxed vibe that lets the day unfold naturally. What stands out is how customizable the experience feels. Groups have done everything from peaceful sunset cruises and memorial services to action-packed bachelor and bachelorette parties with tubing and wake surfing. Captains are happy to mix sightseeing with water activities, take photos (Zach apparently flies a drone too), and adjust the itinerary based on what guests want. The booking process gets mentioned as smooth and responsive, which matters when you're coordinating a special occasion. Several reviewers specifically note they're planning return trips or would recommend a longer charter time, which says plenty about the quality of the experience you'll get on Tahoe's gorgeous waters.
Adam was an awesome captain and guide! He was so informative and gave us options to somewhat customize our experience.
