Yes. If your group is over 6 passengers, US Coast Guard regulations require a bareboat charter, and you pay the captain and fuel separately in addition to your prepaid charter fee. You pay an additional $100 per hour on arrival directly to your captain, and you still pay it even if you book 7+ but arrive with fewer passengers.
Arrive at the marina at least 30 minutes before your charter (longer on weekends and holidays), and arrive at the boat 15 minutes prior. If you arrive late, your time on the lake will be shortened.
Use the restroom at the marina near the parking lot before you board. Boats do not have restrooms, but you can stop along the way if needed.

We did the tour with Captain Brandon and he was very nice and accommodating. We went around emerald bay and had a great time. My only complaint is that it felt too short. I felt like we didn’t get to swim as much as I would’ve liked because it was time to head back, but he mentioned we can ask about extending the time next time. I think 3 hrs would be better than 2 if you really want to spend time on the water. I would def do this tour again just extend the time.
