Red Rock Canyon / Spring Mountain Ranch
Tucked against the crimson cliffs of the Mojave, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park feels like a world apart from the city that lies just half an hour east. A working ranch for over a century, the grounds reward visitors with green lawns, cottonwood shade, and views of sandstone escarpments rising sharply overhead. Spring Mountain Ranch State Park invites you to slow down and take in the quiet: birdsong, a seasonal stream, and the faint scent of sage carried on the desert breeze.
Michael picked us up from Aria at 6:00am and dropped us back off at the front door. We had an amazing hike and really enjoyed the whole experience. Michael was very knowledgeable about the beautiful views and the ancient paintings on the rocks. Great experience. Highly recommended.
