Itinerary

1. Meet at the parking area near dusk at 1175 Melba Drive, South Lake Tahoe.
2. Hike through pine and fir forest toward a ridge or meadow with lake views.
3. Stop at chosen viewpoints for constellation and planet interpretation and quiet stargazing.
4. Return along the same trail under the stars.
5. Conclude with a warm drink and brief debrief at the meeting area.
