Booked a package stay at Kimball ATV Hideaway Cottage 3 and 2 Commander Max XT side by sides. The cottage is nice and fit us well. It has some issues but was clean and 5 guys on an adventure trip had plenty of space. Many tips and tricks were learned as we went and I’ll share a few here. The lights over the fire pit work. The night automatic pole light over the car port comes on and the solar panel needs covered with a towel or something to work. There’s a shovel and digging bar nearby that we used to put the cover up and take down when we were done so they could recharge. The lights over the hot tub didn’t work but the tub does and the lights for it are bright enough by themselves. The front porch has a nice swing but the bees are heavy out there. We ran them off for now the nest was in the swing. The UTVs got delivered on time by Cody and he was on point bringing us paper maps and sharing points of interest including dinning and ice cream options which we visited. One machine gave us a hard time first thing as we set out with a mechanical issue, a quick call to Cody gave us a work around and we were off. Later on the same machine acted up again and I chose to take it to the shop just to be certain. The crew there gave it a look over and gave us some tips so we could keep ridding it ran the whole trip but did cause some inconveniences especially when encountering people coming from the opposite direction. On Pinnace and Pocahontas if it rains the trail will have puddles on the trail some are deeper than they appear. You’ll get wet and muddy and everything with you will too. Bring a dry plastic bag or a waterproof container for your cellphone and wallet. It’s a good idea to have a cooler and a tie down strap for it. Bring a cooler you don’t mind getting muddy and speckled up. Overall a fun trip and we are already talking about doing it again soon.
