    Itinerary

    1. Arrive at South Woodstown Station 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Free on‑site parking is available at South Woodstown Station.
    2. Check‑In at the Ticket Window Upon arrival, please check in at the ticket window located trackside of the station building to receive guidance for boarding and the day’s experience.
    3. Explore the Station Before Boarding Prior to boarding, guests are welcome to explore the historic station, including a visit to the Woodstown Central Railroad gift shop, restrooms, and photo opportunities around the platform.
    4. Board the Train & Depart Boarding typically begins approximately 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
    5. Scenic Countryside Rail Journey Enjoy a narrated train ride through Salem County’s countryside, featuring railroad history, local stories, and views of forests and farmland aboard a beautifully restored 1930s‑era train. This portion of the train ride time is approximately 20 minutes.
    6. Arrival at Penton Station (Historic Whistle Stop) Guests booked for the Bil‑Dol Farm Experience will disembark at Penton Station, a historic whistle stop reopened specifically for this limited‑time event.
    7. Transfer to Bil‑Dol Farm After disembarking, guests will meet Bil-Dol Farm staff and receive instructions for the corn maze
    8. Enjoy the corn maze:
    • Self-guided exploration of the patriotic-themed corn maze (approximately 45 minutes to complete)
    1. Return to Penton Station At the conclusion of the farm experience, guests head back to Penton Station.
    2. Return Train Ride to South Woodstown Station Guests reboard the train for a relaxed return journey, concluding the experience back at South Woodstown Station.

    Important details

    • Requires boarding and leaving the train independently or with help from your party, plus walking and standing on uneven grass, gravel and dirt paths. The historic railcars do not meet Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility standards.
    • Children require an accompanying adult. Supervise children at all times throughout the experience.
    • No pets are permitted except registered service animals.
    • Access to the farm is by train only; personal vehicles are not permitted for this experience.
    • Participation includes accepting the farm's risk and liability waiver. Risks include uneven terrain, insects and bee stings, animals, moving vehicles and farm equipment. The waiver releases the farm from liability, including ordinary negligence, and includes responsibility for its legal defense costs if you bring a lawsuit.
    • The participation agreement allows the farm to seek emergency medical treatment, with you or the participant's parent or legal guardian responsible for the cost.
    • Follow posted rules, staff instructions and safety guidelines. Failure to do so may result in removal from the activity.
    • Smoking, vaping and alcoholic beverages are prohibited throughout this experience.
    • The farm may photograph or record you for promotional use unless you notify staff otherwise in writing.

    Cancellation Policy

    Tickets are nonrefundable. Cancel at least 48 hours before departure for free rebooking this season, subject to availability; later cancellations and no-shows cannot rebook. Trains run rain or shine; farm activities depend on conditions. If the farm cancels, including for unsafe weather, you'll be offered rebooking that year, subject to availability, or a gift card for the booking value.

    If severe weather cancels train operations, you'll receive an email notification with as much advance notice as possible. Farm weather decisions are typically made 12–24 hours before departure.

    My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by enjoying the relaxing and scenic views on the Woodstown Railroad that included a stop at the Bil-Dol Farm to pick beautiful wildflowers! It was a beautiful day, not too hot, and the staff at at the railroad station and on the train were very friendly and helpful, and the staff at the farm were very friendly and welcoming as well. The whole experience was wonderful and we definitely would be interested in a future excursion.

    My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by enjoying the relaxing and scenic views on the Woodstown Railroad that included a stop at the Bil-Dol Farm to pick beautiful wildflowers! It was a beautiful day, not too hot, and the staff at at the railroad station and on the train were very friendly and helpful, and the staff at the farm were very friendly and welcoming as well. The whole experience was wonderful and we definitely would be interested in a future excursion.
