- Sign a waiver for every member of your party before arrival
- Children ages 7 and under may ride with an adult only if they sit independently and fit securely in a personal flotation device
- Children ages 8–15 need a parent or guardian-signed float plan and an adult age 18+ on the water at all times
- Minors ages 16–17 need a parent or guardian-signed float plan but may go on the water without an adult
- Maximum canoe capacity is 800 lbs
- Return your canoe by the reserved time; a $30 late fee per boat, not included in the listed price, applies when you return more than 15 minutes late
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations at least 48 hours before your reservation. No refund for cancellations within 4 hours or no-shows. Full refund or credit if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Canoes are best suited for two paddlers and have two seats. One young child can typically sit on the floor of the canoe.
Expect limited parking for your canoe rental on weekdays. A paid lot is on site, but it can fill up. Plan around DC rush-hour traffic; Rock Creek Parkway is one-way southbound 6:45–9:30am and northbound 3:45–6:30pm Monday–Friday.
Lockers are available on site to store your belongings during your rental.
