Bring any camera or smartphone, an extra charged battery, and enough storage for about 100 photos. For best results, bring all your lenses; suggested options include a kit lens, wide-angle lens, telephoto lens of at least 100 mm, and a circular polarizing filter for SLR cameras.
The photography workshop operates rain or shine. In heavy rain, the itinerary uses covered locations such as the National Building Museum, U.S. Botanic Garden, or Library of Congress.
The safari ends at the nearest Metro station at about 1:10 PM.
