Know before you go
- Arrive at 8:45 AM to prepare before the tour
- Allow extra travel time for park entrance waits of up to 30 minutes on weekdays and 1 hour on weekends and holidays
- Vehicles over 22 feet long and towed trailers are not allowed on Cave Road
- Ages 16+ only; participants ages 16–17 must be accompanied by an adult
- Chest, waist and hip measurements must each be less than 45 inches in circumference
- Requires supporting your body weight with your arms
- Not suitable if you are claustrophobic or afraid of heights
- Consult your doctor before the tour if you are pregnant, recently had surgery, or have relevant heart, seizure, joint or ligament conditions
- Bring plenty of water; no potable water is available at the cave
- Bring a good backpack to carry food, water and equipment to the cave
- Bring lunch and extra snacks; store food not taken to the cave in a bear box, not in a vehicle
- Bring a change of clothes and toilet paper; only bathrooms are in the parking lot
- Do not bring clothes worn in other caves, lint-shedding clothes, large cameras, selfie sticks or other long hard objects
- Leave pets at home; they are not permitted on the trail or in the cave
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations made within one week of booking. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable after that. Full refund if the cave is forced to close.
FAQs
The cave is a 1/2-mile walk each way with about 300 feet of elevation change. It can take up to 30 minutes, especially while carrying gear.
Plan for about an hour of introductions and equipment preparation, followed by up to 4 hours inside Crystal Cave. Time underground varies with the group.
Wild Cave groups have up to 6 people. If your booking has fewer than 6 people, you will likely join other participants.
