Alto Vista Chapel sits on one of the oldest Christian sites in Aruba, with roots tracing back to the early eighteenth century when Spanish missionary Domingo Antonio Silvester gathered the local community here for worship. The current yellow chapel, modest in scale but striking in presence, was rebuilt in 1952 and has since become a cherished symbol of faith on the island.

The chapel itself is small, holding only a handful of wooden pews, a simple altar, and soft filtered light. Visitors often leave handwritten notes or small offerings, giving the interior an intimate, living quality that larger churches rarely possess. Outside, a series of white crosses marks the Stations of the Cross along the road leading up the hill.
