Baby Beach sits at the far southeastern tip of Aruba, near the working port town of San Nicolas. The area has long served as a retreat for families from across the island, drawn by the lagoon's naturally sheltered shape formed by a curved limestone and coral breakwater.

The water inside the lagoon is famously shallow and calm, making it one of the few spots on Aruba where young children can wade comfortably. Beyond the sandbar, the reef comes alive with parrotfish, sergeant majors, and the occasional sea turtle drifting through.

San Nicolas itself adds cultural texture to a visit. Known as Aruba's second city, it has a history rooted in the oil refining industry and today hosts a growing arts scene, including colorful murals painted across its streets during an annual festival.

Baby Beach rewards those willing to make the drive to the island's quieter end, offering a more laid-back atmosphere than the busier resort beaches to the north and a genuinely local feel that is increasingly rare.
