The Grove opened in 2002 on a site in the Fairfax District that has long been a gathering place for Angelenos. Just beyond the gates, the Original Farmers Market on Fairfax Avenue extends the experience considerably. Dating to 1934, it is one of the oldest continuously operating markets in the country, with stalls selling everything from fresh produce to international street food. The two destinations together make for an easy half-day outing in central Los Angeles.
