There are journeys a man enjoys, and then there are those rare ones that settle quietly into his soul and never truly leave. This adventure was one of those. More than once I found myself with tears in my eyes—not from sorrow, but from the overwhelming beauty of a place that still belongs more to God and nature than to mankind. Our guide was as fine a companion as anyone could hope to travel with, leading us beyond the polished pages of the brochures and into the true heart of Alaska. We stood before ancient glaciers, watched mighty moose wander as if we were merely guests in their kingdom, and splashed our ATVs through clear creeks and shallow rivers that seemed to laugh beneath our wheels. Even now, I can close my eyes and catch the faint perfume of woodsmoke drifting from the campfires. Alaska remains the last great frontier on this little planet—a land where time moves more slowly, where the wild still reigns, and where a person can remember how wonderfully small he really is. If you wish not merely to see Alaska, but to taste its spirit, breathe its air, and carry a piece of it home in your heart, this is the adventure to take. Thank you for giving me memories that will visit my dreams for many years to come. ❤️
