Imagine not more than 5 minutes out of your car and you are just walking up to the main building. When your host walks up holding a bundle that you couldn't quite make out. And she says, 'Do you want to hold a baby Kangaroo?' There is only one answer to that of course. Yes! And it set the tone for the rest of a very magical 2 hours. Nearly every animal we met we either got super close to or actually had a chance to hold or in some cases feed. And Lisa, shared her experience, knowledge and insights in how they started, the animals they have cared for, and really their mission and why. Originally we had thought we would be taking plenty of photos. And sure we took a few, and Lisa also took some candids. But really I think the experience is meant to be lived and not recorded for an Instragram reel. For clarity, I am a professional photographer with great gear. But sometimes you need to put the camera down and just enjoy. I can't recommend Lisa, her team, and her animals enough. It was an experience to remember. And we will be back!
