They have made significant upgrades in the past few years. The new playground is up and tons of fun. It is conveniently placed between a (dated) bathroom and the petting barn. There is also a small cafe there for snacks as well. Feeding the giraffes is pretty cool. The one giraffe eats through the bars because they learned when they were little. They have special hours and events for zoo members. If you decide on your visit that you loved it enough to become a member, they have a promotion to put your admission cost to the cost of the membership. The hours are much shorter than in the past, closing at 4pm most days.
