Ventura offers a one-of-a-kind way to experience New York Harbor aboard a beautifully restored 100-year-old classic sailing yacht. Ideal for private charters, sunset sails, intimate weddings, engagements, dinner cruises, and speci...
Sailing aboard this 106-year-old beauty has earned a near-perfect reputation, and it's easy to see why. The crew, including captain Owen, Jake, and John, consistently gets called out by name for being professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Reviewers repeatedly describe feeling like VIPs rather than just passengers, with the captain sharing history about the harbor and landmarks along the way. The sunset cruise is a fan favorite, drawing repeat customers who come back for birthday celebrations, special occasions, and full moon sails alike. Views of the Statue of Liberty, Governor's Island, and the Manhattan skyline make for a stunning backdrop. One reviewer noted the route occasionally heads toward Staten Island rather than the Brooklyn Bridge, so if a specific view matters to you, it's worth asking ahead of time. Otherwise, the consistent praise across dozens of visits speaks for itself.
This was an amazing experience. We were on the last sail of the season. The captain and crew of Ventura were truly outstanding. They were skillful, cautious, kind and generous. The views of the city, the Statue of Liberty and Governor's Island were great. The sunset was beautiful and the rest of the small group of people on the boat were very nice. All in all, I highly recommend this company and their hospitality for a memorable cruise in Manhattan.
