Seattle Meowtropolitan is Seattle’s original cat café, where expertly brewed coffee meets a roomful of adoptable feline charmers. Guests relax, sip, and play while each cat enjoys a comfortable, cage-free haven that lets true pers...
This cat cafe has clearly won over visitors with its spacious, thoughtfully designed environment and healthy, well-socialized feline residents. Reviewers consistently praise how clean and welcoming the space feels, with plenty of natural light and good airflow that even helps those with mild cat allergies enjoy their visit. The cats themselves get glowing reviews for being friendly and comfortable, with staff and volunteers who know each kitty's personality and can guide interactions. It's common to have cats sit on your lap or play nearby while you relax. The coffee and specialty drinks earn enthusiastic mentions, though the food selection is notably limited to snacks rather than full pastries or meals. One visitor was surprised to find no breakfast items available mid-morning. The $19 hourly admission seems reasonable to most, especially given the quality of the experience and the cafe's admirable mission. Whether you're looking for a unique date spot, a family outing, or simply an hour of feline therapy, this place delivers a relaxing atmosphere that consistently leaves people feeling happier than when they arrived. The option for memberships suggests many become regulars.
The coffee was great for my tastes, I had a latte with brown sugar and cinnamon syrup that the barista recommended to me. The cafe opens at 10 but time with the cats start at 11. I was able to purchase a walk-in slot with the cats, probably because I went there on a rainy Wednesday morning. They do reservations online which may be necessary for busier days and hours. The slots are worth $20 an hour and $10 for 25 minutes. The cats were very playful and friendly, and I was able to pet most of them. I have cats at home which probably helped with how I could recognize if they wanted to be pet or wouldn't be bothered by it. Two of them in particular actually walked with me as I entered the cat area and wanted me to notice them (I think it was Pancake [the orange cat] and Waffle [the gray and white cat]). If I ever return to Seattle, I'll be sure to stop by again :)
