Led by championship musher Alex Therriault and his family, Ultimate Dog Sledding Experience invites you to glide across 250 acres of private Maine forest behind a team of joyful, well-loved huskies whose lineage spans eight genera...
People fly in from out of state, drive seven hours, and build entire honeymoons around this experience. That should tell you something. Alex, Sarah, and the rest of the team run a genuinely passionate operation where the dogs are clearly the heart of everything. Guests consistently rave about how knowledgeable and personable the guides are, and the meet-and-greet with the dogs before heading out on the trails seems to be a highlight for nearly everyone. The experience itself blends education, stunning scenery, and plenty of dog time into something that feels both casual and special. Multiple reviewers noted the 1.5-hour tour felt a little short, so if you want more time on the trail, it may be worth considering the longer option. The s'mores board gets a specific callout too, a nice touch for those who book the extended experience. For first-timers and bucket-listers alike, the reviews paint a picture of a well-run family business where the animals are genuinely loved and cared for. The near-universal praise across a wide range of visitors, from young couples to families with toddlers, speaks to how consistently this team delivers.
We literally flew from Florida just for this experience! It was worth it. It was comfortable in the slides for two adult people. The nature is very beautiful. The dogs were really fan. We did a stop in the middle of the woods for the pictures. Beautiful overall.
