I did a last-minute booking on Monday and left on Friday for the 7-day, 188-mile trip. Best decision of my life. I have stage IV cancer and had just had a brain tumor removed 11 weeks prior to this trip. Our River Rat guides were Kale, Griffin, Castro, and Logan. They made the trip unforgettable—assisting on hikes, making sure I was doing okay, and, to top it off, they were the best chefs. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. If you are on the fence about doing this adventure, do it!
