Get an easy introduction to Alaskan sled dogs on a relaxed kennel tour. Spend up to an hour meeting the dogs, learning about life off-grid, and asking questions about mushing and training.
If you need a ride, a UTV shuttle is available within a 5-mile radius for an extra $2.45 per mile (max 5 passengers per ride). No refunds are given if you miss your tour due to transportation or planning issues.
Refunds available up to 48 hours in advance. No refund if you cancel 48 or fewer hours before the tour. You can reschedule up to 6 hours in advance. No refunds for missed tour times. Full refund if the operator cancels for the dogs' health and safety.
If you can drive to McCarthy, you can drive to the kennel area, but private tourist vehicles can’t cross the Kennecott River. If you’re staying in McCarthy, Kennecott, or on the east side of the river, plan how you’ll get from your parking area to the kennel (walking or biking are options, and you’ll want to allow extra time).

Plan to be ready 15–20 minutes before your tour for pickups at the Footbridge, McCarthy BnB, Kennecott River Lodge, or Glacier View Campground. Plan to be ready 30–40 minutes before your tour for pickups in "Downtown" McCarthy, Kennecott, Blackburn Cabins, Currant Ridge, McCarthy Cabins, Aspen Meadows BnB, and all other locations.
