2-Day Wreck Diving Course in Ramrod Key

Develop the skills and knowledge to dive around wrecks and artificial reefs. Complete two specialty courses focused on safe wreck-diving techniques.

• Explore wrecks and artificial reefs through academic, confined-water, and open-water training
• Practice non-penetration and limited-penetration wreck-diving techniques
• Develop skills for wreck dives to depths of 130 feet
• Earn Wreck Diving and Advanced Wreck Diving specialty certifications upon completion

Itinerary

Day 1

• Upon completion of your academic materials prior to your arrival, we will conduct a short classroom academic review of the safety concerns while performing a wreck dive after which we will conduct a short skills review in the pool to refresh the appropriate skills that are necessary for this course. In the afternoon we will conduct 2 training dives on our local wreck to put your skills to the test.

Day 2

• We will start the day with a land based practical application for "laying line". In the afternoon we will conduct 2 training dives on our local wreck to put your skills to the test.

Important details

• Ages 15+ only
• Open Water Diver or comparable certification from a recognized training agency required
• At least 24 logged dives required
• Bring your dive log for verification at the start of the course
• Complete applicable academic materials before the first day of the course
• Training is weather dependent and may move to alternate open-water sites in inclement weather
