Sail Salem Sound aboard a 1930 classic schooner
2 hours
Soft drinks, water, captain
Step aboard Malabar X, a classic schooner built in 1930, for a sail through Salem Sound. Pass islands, coastal towns, and up to five area lighthouses while taking in the vessel's craftsmanship.
Cancel more than 48 hours before departure for a full refund minus a 10% admin fee. Cancellations within 48 hours and no-shows are not refunded. If the ship does not sail due to weather and cannot be rescheduled, you will receive a full refund. Rescheduled trips cannot be cancelled.
Bring a jacket, sweatshirt, or windbreaker and weather-appropriate items such as a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. It is usually 5–10 degrees cooler on the water. The sail may proceed in light fog, mist, or rain showers if the captain considers conditions safe.
Wheelchairs cannot be brought aboard and must remain on the dock. Crew can assist you aboard Malabar X and to a comfortable seat.
Use the public dock restrooms before departure when they are open during extended business hours. A restroom is also available aboard, though it has a vintage mechanism.
