- Keep an adult present on the water with minors; riders under 14 must share a tandem or clear kayak with an adult
- Meet vessel limits: solo kayak 375 lbs, tandem 500 lbs, clear kayak 400 lbs total and 250 lbs per rider
- Use paddleboards within their limits: 275 lbs for hard boards and 480 lbs for inflatable boards
- Keep sunscreen, shoes, metal, and hard objects off clear kayaks; pets are not permitted on clear boats
- Expect separate state park admission and kayak launch fees, not included in the listed price
