Carters Lake Marina and Resort, 575 Marina Road, Chatsworth, GA 30705
We had an incredible experience with Carter’s Lake Marina today that deserves recognition. While we were swimming in a cove on Carters Lake, a sudden summer thunderstorm rolled in. We started receiving Severe Thunderstorm Warning alerts and soon noticed cloud-to-ground lightning nearby. With several children in our group, we knew we needed to get off the water immediately. We called Carter’s Lake Marina, and without hesitation, they told us to come in, use their courtesy slips, and take shelter in the marina restaurant and shop. When we arrived, the staff warmly welcomed us, along with several other boaters seeking refuge from the storm. Their hospitality was outstanding. The staff was incredibly kind and even gave the kids small American flags to wave, which brought smiles to their faces during a stressful situation. In a time when customer service can be hard to find, the kindness and generosity shown by the team at Carter’s Lake Marina was truly encouraging. We are very grateful they provided a safe haven for our families during the storm. Once it passed, we were able to get back on the lake and enjoy the rest of our afternoon. Thank you, Carter’s Lake Marina, for taking care of your boating community. We won’t forget it!
