We did not book ahead and just showed up on a Friday afternoon. Fondo de Cristal Tours was the only company open. We asked for a snorkel tour and they said normally you need a reservation but they would see if one of their captains would be willing to take our party of 4. Captain Billy agreed and gave us a lovely tour in English as my mother and husband don’t speak Spanish. He showed us houses and marinas on our way out and stopped at two different mangrove keys so we could see sea life. He was patient and even called out a better ladder for my mother who had trouble getting in on the attached ladder. He made sure we got our full 3 hours and did not rush at all. Well worth our time and money.
