Itinerary

1. Check In and Get Ready

   Arrive at Houston Slingshot Rental with your valid driver’s license and required payment method. Complete check-in, receive a walkthrough of the Slingshot’s controls, and confirm that the self-guided route is loaded into the GPS.

2. Leave Houston Behind

   Pull away from the rental location and follow the turn-by-turn GPS directions. As you travel farther from the city, busy streets give way to open landscapes, wooded stretches, rural communities, and scenic Texas backroads.

3. Enjoy the Open-Air Drive

   Settle into the Slingshot, turn up the music, and enjoy the route at your own pace. There is no tour guide or caravan to follow, but drivers must remain on the programmed route, obey all traffic laws, and keep track of the four-hour rental period.

4. Stop at Yankee’s Tavern & Grill

   At the turnaround point, park at Yankee’s Tavern for a brief break. Stretch your legs, take photos, and purchase food or a nonalcoholic refreshment before beginning the return ride.

   Food, drinks, and personal purchases are not included in the tour price.

5. Follow the GPS Back to Houston

   Return to Houston using the preloaded GPS route. Before bringing the Slingshot back, refill the tank with premium gasoline and arrive at Houston Slingshot Rental before the four-hour rental period ends.

Your 4-hour adventure includes approximately 3 hours and 5 minutes of scenic driving, with time built in to stop at Yankee’s Tavern, enjoy a meal or refreshment, take photos, and complete the return ride to Houston Slingshot Rental.

The route is designed as a complete Texas road-trip experience, giving you the opportunity to enjoy both the drive and the destination at a comfortable pace. Simply keep your scheduled return time in mind as you enjoy the adventure.

Important details

• Arrive 15 minutes early and complete both required forms before arrival
• Drivers must be ages 21+ and present a current, valid driver's license
• A $300 refundable security deposit is due at pickup and is not included in the listed price
• Manual-transmission Slingshots require experience operating a clutch and stick shift
• Bring a fully charged phone for GPS navigation
• Remain alcohol- and drug-free, follow traffic laws, and stay on the programmed GPS route
• Requires entering and exiting a low-profile vehicle and using the installed seat belt properly
• Not recommended for serious back, neck, heart, balance, or mobility conditions that may be aggravated by the ride
• Secure loose clothing, hats, scarves, and other items that could blow from the vehicle
• Participation depends on safe weather and road conditions
