Bill and his team have built something special at Sand Hollow State Park, with customers consistently praising their genuine friendliness and expertise. The owner takes real time with guests, helping beginners understand equipment differences and ensuring everyone feels comfortable before heading out. The staff's knowledge shines through on guided tours around Quail Creek Reservoir, where they point out beaver lodges, wildlife tracks, and turtle spotting locations. Several reviewers mentioned how guides even captured photos during tours and personalized experiences based on group interests. The operation runs smoothly with easy online reservations, quality equipment, and flexible rental options including hourly, daily, and even 24-hour rentals for those wanting to try night kayaking. Prices get frequent mention as being very reasonable, with membership options available for locals or repeat visitors. The few critical comments are outliers, and the overwhelming pattern shows families, first-timers, and experienced paddlers all having great experiences. One guest even shared how Bill went above and beyond after their tour by helping them find a hotel and get a good rate when they had car trouble.
