This Lake Mead marina delivers solid boat rental experiences with genuinely helpful staff who go above and beyond. The boat rental process is straightforward and efficient, with employees providing clear instructions and showing real enthusiasm for making sure guests have a great day on the water. One standout story has the general manager personally driving stranded guests 45 minutes to the airport when their ride fell through. The fleet ranges from simple ski boats to massive houseboats with elevators, and the vessels themselves are generally well-maintained and clean. A few things to note: the boat launch currently requires a pipe mat extension due to dropping water levels, though it's functional for typical sized boats. The small store closes around 4pm, so bring your own supplies if you're planning a late day. Most staff interactions are excellent, though there's been an occasional mention of less friendly service at the front desk during check-in. One guest had a minor dispute about propeller damage that management ultimately resolved fairly. The drive from Henderson takes about 40 minutes, and you'll need to pay the Lake Mead National Park entrance fee.
We rented a houseboat and had a great experience. The weather was beautiful, lake was empty and scenery was gorgeous. All the staff was friendly and helpful.
