6.25-Mile Ichetucknee Springs Paddle Rental

Paddle upstream from Dampier's Landing toward Head Spring, then return with the Ichetucknee's gentle current. Choose a kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard for a flexible out-and-back route.

• Launch from Dampier's Landing at the park's South Entrance
• Paddle up to 2.75 miles upstream near Head Spring
• Turn around whenever you choose for the return route
• Follow a current that varies from 1 to 3 mph

Important details

• Arrive on time; late arrivals forfeit reserved vessels
• Wait in the park entry line and follow staff directions for launch and departure
• Bring your driver's license to complete the waiver at check-in
• Leave a set of car keys as rental collateral; keys are returned when the rental ends
• Park admission is not included: $4 per individual or $6 per vehicle with up to 8 passengers
• Ages under 18 must paddle with an adult
• Return your rental on time; a late fee applies for late returns
• Leave alcohol, nicotine products, disposable items, coolers, food, speakers, water guns, and pets behind; service animals are allowed
• Allow staff to inspect bags before going on the river
• Meet craft weight limits: 285 lbs for paddleboards and 287–1,063 lbs for boats, depending on vessel
