Safe Harbor Sandusky
Captain Mike, Captain Rick, Captain Ken, and Captain Bobby consistently earn glowing praise for their patient, knowledgeable instruction and genuine passion for teaching. Students rave about how well the ASA certification courses are structured, with thorough prep materials (including handwritten notes from Tricia, who runs operations) arriving beforehand so you feel ready to hit the water. The boats are impeccably maintained, and Lake Erie provides an ideal training ground with varied conditions that build real confidence. Beyond the certification courses, the sunset sails on the Black Pearl leave guests genuinely wowed. Reviewers describe relaxed, beautiful evenings with captains who share local history and navigate for perfect photo opportunities. The personal touches stand out: birthday cakes, accommodating special requests, and genuinely warm hospitality that makes celebrations memorable. People who come as complete beginners leave hooked on sailing, and certified sailors return for advanced courses and even trips to the British Virgin Islands. The combination of professional instruction, well-equipped boats, and responsive communication creates an experience that keeps sailors coming back.
