Both sunrise trips will get passengers up the mountain in time to see the sunrise. The first trip will get passengers up the mountain in darkness, stay through the sunrise and then return shortly after. The second trip will get passengers up the mountain in the early dawn light about 20 minutes before the sunrise, stay through the sunrise, and then leave 45 minutes later.
BOTH TRIPS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO REMAIN ON THE MOUNTAIN FOR ABOUT 90 MINUTES. The Vans will NOT remain on the summit with you for the duration of your trip.
Important details
- For the local/worker fare, bring an ID or pay stub to present when boarding.
- Dogs require a reservation and must be leashed. Your dog will ride in the provided kennel at the rear of the van, not with passengers.
- An Acadia National Park entrance pass is required and is not included in the listed price. Non-US residents are subject to an additional park entrance surcharge. Bring your pass when boarding.
- Keep noise down during the early-morning pickup out of respect for the community.
- Arrive 20 minutes before departure.
Cancellation Policy
Change or cancel up to 12 hours before departure for a full refund. Later cancellations are nonrefundable. Changes to departure times are subject to availability. If the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you'll receive a full refund or credit. No-shows are charged the full price.

No. You don't need a Cadillac Mountain vehicle reservation to ride the sunrise shuttle; only an Acadia National Park entrance pass is required.
Use street parking; meters start at 8am, and parking charges are not included in the listed price. Do not park in the Sunoco lot, which is reserved for business patrons. RV spaces near the Bar Harbor Ballfield are limited and frequently full.
Bring warm extra layers and a flashlight. Cadillac Mountain's summit can be very cold and windy in the early morning, weather is unpredictable, and facilities are limited.
