Jeff and his team have built something of a loyal following here, with plenty of families returning year after year for surf lessons and camp. Instructors like Ryan, Ethan, and Frank get consistent praise for their patience and ability to work with kids and first-timers alike. One reviewer's grandson was greeted by name every single day, which says a lot about the kind of atmosphere they've created. The lessons themselves seem well-structured, from beginner basics to more advanced technique for kids who already have some experience. Ethan in particular stood out for going above and beyond after class, walking students through wave timing, tides, and conditions. The shop also rents boards, wetsuits, beach chairs, and bikes, making it a convenient one-stop spot for beach gear during your stay. A small number of reviews about beach chair rentals flagged some issues with equipment condition, so if that's your main reason for stopping in, it's worth keeping in mind. LBI Surfing is such a great place and definitely deserves 5 stars! They have so much cool stuff to choose from, whether you’re actually going surfing or just looking for something to remember your trip by. They have a really good selection of shirts, cups, bikes, surfboards, and a bunch of other beach stuff. Everything has that classic LBI beach vibe and it makes the store really fun to look around in. The shirts are awesome and there are a lot of different designs, so it’s easy to find something you actually like. The cups are also really cool and are perfect for using at the beach or taking home as a souvenir. I also really like that they have bikes because biking around LBI is one of the best things to do, and having a place where you can get beach stuff and bikes all in one place is super convenient. If you’re into surfing, they also have surfboards and other surfing stuff, which makes the store even better. There’s a really good variety, so whether you’re experienced at surfing or just getting into it, it’s a fun place to check out. The whole store has a really nice beach atmosphere and feels like a place you have to visit when you’re on LBI. Overall, LBI Surfing has a great selection, a really fun atmosphere, and tons of cool stuff. Between the shirts, cups, bikes, surfboards, and everything else they offer, there’s pretty much something for everyone. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re on Long Beach Island. 5 stars for sure!
