- Expect a rocky 1/2-mile hike at current low lake levels; mobility issues may make the trip unsuitable
- Leave pets and drones at home
- Wear water shoes or shoes with a heel strap, and bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection, bug spray, and a dry bag or box for valuables
- Note that personal kayaks are not transported by shuttle on this trip
