Itinerary

1. Depart from Waikoloa Heliport at 08:00 or 10:30.
2. Explore Kīlauea, Kohala, and Hamakua from the air on a 1-hour-45-minute guided helicopter tour. The route and views depend on weather, and some highlights may be skipped.
3. View Hawaii Volcanoes National Park from the air. Lava sightings are not guaranteed, and routes and times vary with wind, weather, and volcanic activity.
4. Land at Laupāhoehoe Nui for 20 minutes to take photos and videos.
5. Return to Waikoloa Heliport at 10:05 or 12:35, depending on your departure time—approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes after departure.

Important details

• Children aged 2 and older require a paid seat at the adult rate. Infants under 24 months ride free on an adult's lap; their weight counts toward the holding adult's weight. Lap children cannot sit in the front row, and child seats are not available.
• A mandatory comfort seat costs half the normal seat price for anyone weighing over 108 kg (240 lbs), including the combined weight of an adult and lap infant. With one comfort seat, capacity is five passengers; with two, capacity is four.
• Front-row seating requires individual weights under 108 kg (240 lbs) and a combined weight under 214 kg (470 lbs). Weights are checked at check-in, and seating may be reassigned if these limits are exceeded.
• Wheelchair access and staff assistance are available.
• Sign a liability waiver before taking part.
• You may be refused service without a refund if you appear intoxicated.
• Do not bring outside food, drinks, selfie sticks or extendable wands. Flash photography is prohibited. Put your phone in airplane mode if you use it for photos or videos.
• Do not wear hats, scarves or bandannas around the helicopters.
• Arrive 60 minutes before your scheduled flight for weight check-in, the safety briefing and boarding.
