Your sweet adventure through downtown Madison begins just steps from Capitol Square, where you’ll kick things off with a delicious local treat and an introduction to the city’s vibrant food scene. As you enjoy your first bites, your guide will share stories about Wisconsin’s capital, its history, and the unique personality that has made Madison one of the Midwest’s most exciting destinations.
From there, we’ll make our way toward the heart of downtown, sampling more sweet treats and locally inspired flavors along the way. As we explore Capitol Square, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the Wisconsin State Capitol, one of Madison’s most recognizable landmarks. Learn about the history and architecture of this impressive building while discovering how the surrounding square has served as a gathering place for generations of Madison residents.
Our journey continues through downtown as we experience some of the flavors Wisconsin is famous for. You’ll get a taste of the city’s local food culture while learning how Madison’s farmers, makers, students, and independent businesses have helped shape its culinary identity.
Next, we’ll head toward State Street, the lively pedestrian-friendly corridor connecting Capitol Square with the University of Wisconsin campus. This colorful stretch is filled with local shops, restaurants, historic buildings, public art, and plenty of personality. It’s also the perfect setting for the next round of delicious bites.
Throughout the tour, we’ll visit a variety of local favorites to sample donuts, pastries, coffee, and other sweet treats selected for the group.
