- Check in with a valid photo ID and physical credit card.
- Complete the rental agreement and required waivers.

Important details
- Ages 18+ to rent. At least one person age 18 or older must be aboard each catamaran at all times.
- An experienced sailor is required to operate the catamaran. No captain or sailing instructor is included.
- Bring a valid photo ID. Anyone operating the catamaran must carry valid ID, and the primary renter and designated operator must be present at check-in.
- Bring the credit card used for the reservation. Each piece of equipment requires an ID and credit card at check-in.
- You may be responsible for costs related to damage, lost equipment, unsafe operation, rule violations, or excessive cleaning. These costs are not included in the listed price.
- Complete the rental agreement and required waivers before sailing.
- Stay within the approved Mission Bay sailing area. Ocean sailing is not permitted. Keep outside swimming areas, shallow zones, beaches, and restricted waterways.
- Do not beach the catamaran, tie it to an unauthorized dock, tow people or equipment, or intentionally collide with boats, docks, beaches, or other objects. Reckless operation and intentional misuse are prohibited.
- Rentals depend on equipment availability, wind, weather, water conditions, visibility, and staff approval. Unsafe conditions may delay or shorten your rental, and staff may end it if safety rules are not followed.
- Late arrival may reduce your time on the water, and your scheduled end time may not be extended.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 72 hours in advance for a full refund. You'll also receive a full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Refund processing takes up to 30 days. No-shows and same-day cancellations are charged the full price.

Each catamaran seats a maximum of 2 people. Sail solo or with one other person.
Allow extra time to park, especially on weekends and holidays. Additional parking may be available in the overflow lot along Santa Clara Place or near El Carmel Point.
Expect spray and the possibility of getting wet on your Hobie Wave rental. You can bring a phone or camera, but secure it in a waterproof pouch. Personal belongings are not covered for loss or water damage.
