James and Jonathan consistently stand out in reviews as exceptional guides who go well beyond basic tour duties. Travelers rave about James in particular for his deep knowledge of San Francisco history, from the Gold Rush to modern times, and his ability to share fascinating details that bring the city to life. Both guides handle logistics smoothly, from coordinating Alcatraz tickets to managing multiple stops efficiently. The company offers solid value through combination tours hitting Muir Woods, Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, and Alcatraz, plus convenient shuttle service to 49ers games at Levi's Stadium. Communication shines as a major strength. Jonathan responds quickly to emails and has helped guests with last-minute booking changes, even texting bus location photos to ensure no one gets left behind. Tours typically use comfortable vans or charter buses, and groups appreciate arriving at Muir Woods early to beat the crowds. A couple of negative reviews mention confusion about package bookings and occasional unavailability at their hotel desk, but these seem to be outliers. The overwhelming majority of guests describe well-organized, personable experiences that pack impressive amounts into a single day without feeling rushed.
Absolute pleasure using the Tour Store for our Shuttle Bus to Levi's Stadium. Jonathan answered many questions prior to the date via email very quickly and was incredible dealing with some last minute issues when we could not make the first leg of the trip. He texted me photos of the bus location and made sure we did not miss the bus back to Union Square. I HIGHLY recommend them for their professional manner and will use them anytime I come to SF.
