Glide through the mangroves of Sugarloaf Key in a 100% clear tandem kayak and watch the vibrant marine life beneath you. A friendly eco-guide shares fascinating insights on this two-hour paddle near Key West.
The activity requires moderate upper-body mobility and continuous paddling. Maximum 250 lbs per person and 425 lbs per kayak. Children aged 3–17 must ride with an adult, and alcohol is not permitted. There is a two kayak minimum per booking.
Q: Are the kayaks single or double?
A: All kayaks are tandem and hold two people.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, clothes that can get wet, water shoes or sandals, a towel, and any light extra gear.
Q: Do tours run if the weather is hot or cold?
A: Yes. Tours do not cancel for hot or cold weather.
Q: Will the route always be the same?
A: The route may change based on tides but you will still paddle through scenic areas with great visibility.
Q: Is parking available at the meeting location?
A: Yes. Parking is available on site at Sugarloaf Marina.
