1425 Columbia Gorge Way
With nearly perfect ratings across dozens of reviews, this Columbia River Gorge kayaking outfit has clearly found its groove. Guides like Taylor and Jules consistently earn praise for their relaxed, knowledgeable approach on the water, pointing out bald eagles, ospreys, herons, and even jumping salmon along the way. The setting itself does a lot of the heavy lifting, with stunning coves, beautiful sunsets, and wildlife sightings that genuinely surprise people. The operation works well for a wide range of groups, from multi-generational family outings to couples booking last-minute evening tours. Both guided tours and self-service rentals are available, with equipment described as clean and in great condition. The location can be a little tricky to find on the first visit, but staff are responsive and happy to help with directions. Paddle boarders should know the area has some shallow rocky spots, so kayaks are probably the better call here.
Our family of 7 (2 parents, 3 middle/high school kids, 2 grandparents) had an amazing sunset tour of the river. It's probably the 10th place we've kayaked and easiy the most beautiful. We saw ospreys, egrets, herons, salmon (jumping out of the water), and an absolutely stunning sunset. Our guide Jules was very friendly and relaxed, and was happy to let us paddle along at whatever pace we wanted. Can not recommend enough.
