Pedal & Paddle Hood River
Todd, Will, Blac, and the rest of the team have built something special here, with staff who consistently go above and beyond to make every outing memorable. Whether you're booking a guided tour or renting equipment for a self-guided adventure, you'll find the process remarkably easy and the gear top-notch. The e-bikes are comfortable, well-maintained, and have impressive battery life even on longer rides. Guides share fascinating insights about the area's geology, history, and culture while making sure everyone feels comfortable and included, regardless of skill level. The sunset kayak tours earn particular praise for their relaxed pace and knowledgeable narration. For cyclists, the provided maps and route recommendations make it simple to explore Hood River's scenic trails, the Fruit Loop, or the historic Columbia River Highway at your own pace. Groups especially appreciate how attentive the staff is to keeping everyone together and ensuring no one feels left behind. The combination of reasonable prices, quality equipment, and genuinely personable service makes this a standout option for experiencing the Columbia River Gorge.
We had an amazing trip with Todd. We had a last minute change in plans and booked a same day Sunset paddle for 3. It ended up being a private tour and we loved it. Todd is really knowledgeable about the wildlife and geography of the area so we learned a lot. We saw osprey, kingfishers geese, ducks and, best of all, jumping salmon! I wish we lived closer so we could do a sunrise tour. Just for info, we all have quiet water paddle experience but don’t get the chance to do it very often and two of us are over 60. I don’t think you need experience or amazing fitness to enjoy this tour. Just do it!
